
The Parnassus Residence is a contemporary San Francisco house which was rebuilt by John Maniscalco Architecture from the existing building which is neglected in a serious disrepair condition for a long time. The clients is a young family with six members. The architects with carefully adds the existing house’s dignified facade while the massing were maintained and refined. The results is the house was reorganized around a unifying vertical stair core, backed by a wall of glass, flooding all floors with light while providing a vertical spatial connection for the entire house. The contemporary interiors were designed to provide a clean, light, and airy background to the rich colors and textures of the owner’s furnishing, art, and textiles.
